STROTHER:- Among the Strothers who served in the Revolution was Benjamin Strother, born in Fredericksburg, Va., in 1750, and who died in 1807. In 1776 he enlisted in the Virginia Navy and served for three years. He then entered the land service and served to the close of the war. He married Catherine Price in 1778. He had a large family, and among other children was Mary, who married Richard Duffield.
