Walter Carr, born 1 November, 1753 near Fredericksburg, Va., died 1838
(in Kentucky). Married 20 November, 1771, Elizabeth Chiles, born 7
November, 1755.

Children:

1. Susanna Carr, born 18 December, 1772.

2. Charles Carr, born 24 October, 1774.

3. Phoebe Carr, born 22 January, 1777.

4. Thomas Carr, born 4 March, 1779.

5. Nancy Carr, born 2 July, 1781.

6. William Chiles, born 15 April, 1783.

7. Virginia Carr, born 24 April, 1785.

8. Dabna Carr. born 17 March, 1787.

9. Walter Chiles, born 4 April, 1789.

10. Betsy Chiles, born 5 April, 1791.

11. Huldah Chiles, born 1 March, 1793.

Walter Carr, following in the footsteps of Daniel Boone, removed to
the wilderness of Kentucky in 1777, leaving his son Charles, only
three years old, with relatives in Virginia till 1 785, when he
accompanied a family to this father’s home, not far from Lexington,
then a village of a few houses.
